Holiday Drinks for the Chocoholic


Who said hot chocolate couldn’t be exciting this holiday season? Spike our hot chocolate with your favorite liquor and serve beautiful and above all, delicious cocktails.

Spicy Aztec Hot Chocolate & Mezcal




  • 1/4 cup MarieBelle Spicy Hot Chocolate
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 whole dried ancho chile pod, split
  • 8 oz bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 5 oz mezcal
  • Chile powder and cocoa nib


First stir in MarieBelle Spicy Hot Chocolate, sugar and salt in saucepan and then add in milk, 2 cinnamon sticks, ancho chile and chocolate chips. Heat until melted and simmer for 10 minutes. Discard chile and cinnamon sticks and add mezcal. Whisk until foamy and pour in 4 cocktail servings. Top with chile powder, cocoa nib and a cinnamon stick. Substitute Mezcal with Rum or Tequila for an equally tasty chocolate drink with a twist!




Pumpkin Spice White Hot Chocolate



  • 4-5 cups whole milk
  • 12 oz white chocolate, chopped
  • 4 tsp MarieBelle White Hot Chocolate
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger

Heat in saucepan 2 cups of milk, the chopped white chocolate, our white hot chocolate and vanilla extract until mixture is melted. Stir in the remaining ingredients and add milk until perfect consistency. Truly delicious… you should definitely try it.



Hot Cocoa Martini




  • 1 Cup of MarieBelle Aztec Hot Chocolate
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 3 oz. Whipped cream vodka
  • 1 oz. Buttershots caramel liqueur

To make these fun martinis, simmer the milk and whisk in MarieBelle’s Aztec Hot Chocolate. Chill (10-15 minutes).  For a delicious cocktail, add vodka, liqueur and 1/2 cup of the mixture to a shaker. Fill with ice and shake. Cocktail ready!  Serve topped with marshmallows for a nice touch.

Dark Chocolate Ice Cubes




  • 1/4 cup MarieBelle Dark Hot Chocolate
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup agave syrup

Whisk all ingredients in a saucepan and heat up until homogeneous. Remove from heat, let the mixture cool and pour in ice cube trays. Serve these mouthwatering cubes with cocktails for drinks your guests will never forget! These are fun and can be made from any type of hot chocolate.
