Tequila Spiced Hot Chocolate Recipe
For all tequila and chocolate lovers this recipe is for you! This can be easily prepared whether for a special holiday celebration or to treat yourself to a cozy and sweet cocktail for the winter nights!
Rich, spiked hot chocolate is a decadent, smooth sweet and spicy treat that is not only delicious and perfect for the holiday season but it is easy to make. This boozy hot cocoa with spices is sure to warm you up on a cold day!
And the best thing about this is that our spiced hot chocolate already comes with the right amount of spices to make the popular "Mexican" hot chocolate so you do not need to buy all of the extra ingredients for that!
COCKTAIL RECIPE
Yields 1 serving || Prep Time: 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup of Spiced MarieBelle Hot Chocolate
1/3 Water or Milk of choice
1 Chocolate Bar of Choice (we used our Dark Chocolate Bar)
1oz Tequila of choice
Whipped Cream
Crushed Peppermint Candy or Candy Cane
Mini marshmallows
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Crush the candy cane and place in a small bowl that is wide enough for the rim of your cocktail glass or mug.
2. Melt your chocolate bar in the microwave in a small bowl, heating for 30 seconds, then stirring, then reheat as needed in 30 second increments.
3. Delicately swirl your glass or mug edge through the melted chocolate.
4. Immediately run the glass or mug through the crushed peppermint to allow it to stick to the rim.
5. Set aside for the chocolate to dry as you prepare your cocktail.
6. Boil water or milk on stove
7. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup of hot chocolate
8. Stir with whisk until well dissolved
9. If you have a cocktail shaker, add hot chocolate and 1oz tequila and shake well.
Otherwise, add tequila to your boiling pan and stir with whisk until well mixed.
10. Pour the cocktail into your decorated glass.
11. Garnish your cocktail with whipped cream and marshmallows if you feel like it!
Notes: If you want to make more than one serving, follow the same instructions but double the quantities!
